The former bank and office building at 151 W. Adams has finally opened for its new use, Chicago's first  JW Marriott, while keeping some of its original Daniel Burnham-designed finishes in place. It welcomed its first customers on Thursday.

JW Marriott Burnham Ballroom
We snapped the Burham Ballroom, with its original glass-domed ceiling on a tour with JW Marriott's Tara Eastlee. The $396M renovation of the 610-key hotel began in 2008. The DiLeonardo and Lucien Lagrange- designed renovation includes the 20k SF Valeo spa, a new restaurant—the Florentine—created by DC-based BLT Restaurant Group, and a lounge for sushi, flatbreads, cocktails, and more. It's also home to 36 meeting rooms.
JW Marriott Room
Guest rooms average 455 SF and still have the original windows, which have been covered by modern pane glass. Each room has a 42” flat-screen TV. Twenty-six 960 SF luxury suites feature living rooms and bar areas for guests. Prime Realty Trust  owns the building, one of a few hotels in the financial district.
