 BERWYN CHARGES UP
Route 66 has always been the Mother Road, so it’s appropriate that it should be the first place in the US to have an on-street electric car charging station, says Berwyn Development Corp’s Evan Summers. The station on Ogden Avenue at the Route 66 Museum opened last week, along with two more at the Berwyn commuter station for train commuters. The stations are operated by 350Green Network, which won’t charge customers to charge up their cars until the end of the year. Evan tells us that the stations are helping Berwyn move forward and encouraging affluent development in the community. (Now you can get your kicks and your electricity on Route 66.)
