The real estate industry kicked off awards season Thursday night at the TOBY/Gold Circle awards hosted by BOMA in the Union Station Great Hall. We snapped Behringer Harvard's Craig Cudzilo, The John Buck Co's Betty Traczek, and Jones Lang LaSalle's Julia Freycelebrating a best building nomination for Julia's 225 W. Wacker. She and her team helped bring the building from 71% to 86% leased in 2010 by opening a conference and fitness center and beginning a new marketing strategy.

CBRE's Sarah RussellSam Delisi, and Deborah Galet were excited that Sarah's 190 S. LaSalle was nominated for its LEED certification and five-star service program. Deborah is the TOBY Queen in the 'burbs, where she's seeing more companies looking to lease space.

New BOMA president Bob Six (of Zeller Realty) handed out the awards. Other winners: CBRE for 303 W. Madison, JLL for the United Building (77 W. Wacker), The John Buck Co for 111 S. Wacker, the GSA for The Metcalfe Building (77 W. Jackson), USAA Real Estate for the FBI Building at 2111 W. Roosevelt, and Parkway Properties for US Cellular Plaza at 8420 W. Bryn Mawr. The Gold Circle Awards went to JLL's Betty Casties (Property Manager of the Year), Dan Wagner (Building Engineer of the Year), JP Morgan Chase's Donna Kobzaruk (Security Professional of the Year), 120 S. LaSalles Wade Rogers (Emerging Leader of the Year), and Whelan Security's Carlos Villareal (Affiliate Member of the Year)
