Five Coliseum Centre: The Office Space That Fits Everyone's Needs

Charlotte, North Carolina, may not be the first city in the minds of young professionals looking to forge their career paths, but as Forbes’ second happiest city for job-seeking college grads and the No. 9 U.S. moving destination, CRE owners, particularly in the office realm, are beginning to pay attention.

Leading the charge is CBRE, whose recent work on Five Coliseum Centre is turning heads both in and out of the city. Five Coliseum Centre boasts a two-story lobby and a generous parking ratio of 4.9:1,000, all next to a large Renaissance hotel and conference center. Standing at six floors tall and 152K SF with an average floor size over 26K SF, the property is part of a master planned, six-building Class-A office park in the heart of Charlotte’s airport submarket, an optimal location to recruit and retain labor.

The live-work-play mantra more commonly associated with metropolises like New York, San Francisco and Chicago is roosting right in Charlotte at Five Coliseum Centre. The property comes with a new fitness center complete with showers and locker rooms, and a new 50-plus-person training room and conference facility open to all tenants. The property is surrounded by 32 restaurants and numerous hotels, retail and dining options within a two-mile radius. All that said, Coliseum still feels pleasantly removed from the cityscape of Uptown Charlotte.

"It’s very scenic,” said CBRE’s Stephanie Spivey, who handles the leasing of the property with Joe Franco. “You have a treescape and running paths all around. You’re close to everything in Charlotte, but you don’t feel like you’re somewhere overly urban when you look out the window. You’re really getting the best of both worlds."

According to the CBRE team, building use is very diverse, and its interiors lend itself to creative or tech companies searching for a Silicon Valley-esque vibe. It could also easily suit the needs of a more traditional financial services company. No matter the tenant, one thing is certain: Coliseum Centre Five will not be available for long!
