Mixed-Use Redevelopment Slated For Former Pepsi Bottling Facility

LMC, an arm of national homebuilder Lennar, will redevelop a 5.2-acre site at the corner of South Boulevard and New Bern Street, the site of a shuttered Pepsi bottling plant. The City of Charlotte has already approved the plans for the South End project, which will include 423 apartments and 23k SF of street-level retail, the Charlotte Business Journal reports.

Pepsi Bottling Ventures, the previous owner of the site, merged its distribution operations and its employees in South End and Midland to a new $12.5M plant that opened in April in Harrisburg. LMC also developed Midtown 205, across from the Metropolitan on Kings Drive. [CBJ]
