Incentive Program Kicked Off To Attract Life Sciences Companies

Placeholder

The Commonwealth has kicked off a new grant program to encourage life sciences companies to establish small to midsized operations in Massachusetts.

Called the Massachusetts Transition and Growth, or MassTAG, program, it's a joint project of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center, MassBio and MassMEDIC; $4M is coming from the state to get things started.

MassTAG will award grants to companies that plan to hire or locate 10 to 49 employees in the state during an initial 12-month period, the Boston Business Journal reports. The program is targeted toward companies that don’t qualify for the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center tax incentives. [BBJ]
