A Boston-based fantasy sports site is leaving downtown for Back Bay, and it plans to add hundreds of employees to its lineup.

“We are entering an exciting phase of accelerated growth at DraftKings as we continue to develop new products and diversify our offerings,” DraftKings CEO and co-founder Jason Robins said in a prepared statement. “To meet these needs and remain at the forefront of innovation, DraftKings is focused on hiring top talent.”

The company announced earlier this month it started a hiring campaign to grow the company from its current headcount of 425 to over 700 by mid-2019. At least 600 of the positions will be based in Boston. The company’s expanding roster means moving from its current headquarters at 125 Summer St. to a 105K SF office at 500 Boylston St. in Back Bay. The new office is more than twice the size of its downtown headquarters.

The growth comes as the company tries to reposition itself from solely fantasy sports and into a sports technology and media platform, the Boston Globe reports. The company has found new ways to bring users to the platform by streaming things like EuroLeague basketball games.

DraftKings is expected to customize its space at 500 Boylston, including the expansion of its in-house media production studio. The building has also been rumored to be in contention for Wayfair, which is said to be in the market for up to 1M SF in Back Bay.
