Ex Irish Banker Held in Boston Jail

Former Anglo-Irish bank CEO David Drumm, whose bank financed many properties and projects here—including the Mandarin Oriental Hotel—plans to fight extradition to Ireland, where he faces fraud and related charges. He’s being held until a hearing Friday. US District Court documents indicate that the Irish government has brought 33 criminal charges. At the Friday hearing, Drumm's lawyer may argue that he should be released prior to a likely extradition fight. [BBJ]
