With the recent groundbreaking of the $600M One Seaport Square, you’d think Heather, who’s managing the project, would have enough to do. But she’s also overseeing five JV projects (4 in Texas, 1 in DC). The 1.1M SF Seaport project, meanwhile, is a game changer. The partnership with WS Development and BGI is bringing 250k SF of retail (a huge boost to this emerging neighborhood) as well as 832 rental apartments. It’s OK that Heather has so many projects going; she’s got a passion for development. As a child in Western Pennsylvania, she was first-assistant- in-charge-when-not-in-school for her carpenter father. A construction manager and planner by training, she loves to see a building take shape from the plans to lights on in someone’s new apartment. Advice: find a mentor (Heather’s included Criterion’s Jack Englert and Andrew Kaye); work hard; always search for new knowledge.
