CBT AND HABITAT
On Friday, Karen Struck (fourth from right) closed on a new single family in Stoughton built by South Shore Habitat for Humanity and designed by CBT as one of Habitat's first Green Homes. At the March dedication: CBT?s Haril Pandya and Alfred Wojciechowski(fourth and fifth from left), Karen and her two sons plus other Habitat volunteers. Alfred told us that to celebrate the firm's 40th anniversary,CBT decided to forgo a lavish party and instead donate $50k and its design services to this project. The contemporary house was sited to maximize sunlight and air flow, few trees were demolished, it has low VOC interior materials, and energy efficient appliances. As Alfred puts it: ?This building works with the land.?
