Breaking Free at the Liberty

We snapped SMMA's Anastasia McVey, Building Impact?s Sarah Gudernatch, and party host J. Calnan's Mike Collentro among the many people that the construction manager feted at the Liberty Hotel. The rehabbed and expanded former Charles Street Jail was a swanky setting for cocktails where Mike told us that J. Calnan is doing TI work for A 123 in Waltham, Fresenius Medical Care in Providence, and Comcast Spotlight at Crown Colony in Quincy. SMMA's 325k SF BCBS building in Providence was recently completed, and two months ago construction officially got underway for the new $131M Wellesley High School. Building Impact is in high gear with holiday volunteer projects. Its Thanksgiving Pie in the Sky bake sales raised $25K for Community Servings.
WB Engineers Mike Quigley and Dan Moody started celebrating a little early since in two weeks they expect to complete a 100K SF renovation for Sonos Networks in Westford, a job they're doing with Packard Design. They're also renovating space for Constant Contact in Waltham and are working on the Fresenius job in Rhode Island with J. Calnan. En route to the elevator, we ran into ADD Inc. principal Fred Kramer whose design for the new residence hall at Mass. College of Art & Design is now under construction, as is the interior ADD Inc. designed for Fish & Richardson?s new offices at ONE Marina Park Drive.
