ARROWSTREET WOMEN FOR WOMEN
Arrowstreet?s Katie Ferrier, Jessica Bessette, and Sarah Mobraten are part of the architecture firm's team doing the $2.5M gut renovation of the Women's Lunch Place at 67 Newbury St in the Back Bay. Sarah says it's the only place downtown poor and homeless women can find a safe place to eat and spend time. Their basement in the Church of the Covenant hasn?t been revamped since the '60s. Construction started last month and will be completed in September. She says the firm was asked to get into the project by Steve Karp and former Citizens Bank CEO Larry Fish. The architects are part of an All Star line up with project manager National Development and CM John Moriarity & Associates. The aim is to build something for the women quickly, efficiently, and with the attention to detail that the users deserve.
