Yet More Birmingham Luxury

Placeholder

Vinoteca, the chic London wine bar chain, has chosen Birmingham for its first regional outlet.

A 3.4K SF unit at Two Chamberlain Square will join a location list including the City of London, Marylebone, Chiswick, Farringdon and King's Cross.

The decision to break into the regional market at the £1B Birmingham Paradise development highlights the huge opportunities for retail and leisure at the scheme, Big Hospitality reported.

Vinoteca, which is inpsired by Spanish and Italian wines, joins a growing list of Birmingham luxury names including the Ivy, now established on Temple Street.

Much of the luxury-sector growth has been driven by the expanding city centre residential sector.

Founded in 2005 by Brett Woonton and Charlie Young, Vinoteca specialises in pairing food and wine, with an ever-changing 200-strong wine list.

The Paradise development partnership comprises Hermes and the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board and their development manager Argent.

The second phase is due to include the 280K SF One Centenary Way, Three Chamberlain Square and a new 4-star hotel.
