In just two months, Ellin & Tucker will move into PDL Associates’ re-imagined 400 E Pratt St. At a recent hard-hat tour of the accounting firm’s new HQ, held for Ellin & Tucker’s young leaders and the press: Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore CEO Tom Sadowski, C&W’s Whitney Nye, PDL owner Peter Leibowits, Greater Baltimore Committee CEO Don Fry, Ellin & Tucker managing director Ed Brake, C&W senior managing partner David Baird, and Downtown Partnership of Baltimore president Kirby Fowler. The firm has been located in Baltimore since WWII vet Lester Ellin founded it in 1946, and 100 employees are relocating from 25k SF in 100 S Charles into 31k SF here under a 12-year lease.

Here’s Emily Proctor and Sarah Koontz of interior designer NFD in the coffee center, one of the spaces that’ll up the ante on employees' work experience. Other perks designed for the next generation of CPAs and leadership—a 3,000 SF private patio overlooking the Inner Harbor, improved access to daylight, collaborative workspaces, a cafe, pool table, nursing room, study room, and sustainable materials—are a departure from typical accounting firm space.
