Rick Walker, Harriet Tregoning, DC, 25th Street Station, Baltimore, MD
Friday at an event for DC Deputy Mayor for Economic DevelopmentVictor Hoskins, we snapped DC Government?s Harriet Tregoningwith WV Urban Development honcho Rick Walker. Rick tells us WV Urban's 25th Street Station in Baltimore City (on an 11-acre site bounded by 25th Street, Maryland Avenue, 24th Street, and the CSX railroad tracks) breaks ground this August, with delivery in February 2013. Rick says the $75M mixed-use project includes a 94k SFWalmart over a 136k SF home improvement retailer with 70 apartment units along Maryland Aveue. It should create around 700 permanent jobs and 400 construction jobs, Rick says.
