Trammell Crow Breaks Ground in Expo Business Park

Placeholder

Taking advantage of a newly established Triple Freeport Zone, Trammell Crow and Clarion Partners broke ground on the first new flex industrial development in Southeast Austin since 2008. The partners began two buildings totaling 239k SF in Austin's Expo Business Park Phase 2. Both Class-A industrial facilities will be ready in May, and TCC VP Brad Maples says the team is gearing up for another phase when market conditions warrant. As occupancy costs have continued to increase, tenants are looking to max efficiencies however they can, Brad tells us. Expo will offer 28-foot clear heights versus the typical 24, so users can store more per SF. Expo sits on nearly 16 acres at Stassney and Burleson--TCC has built six buildings topping 660k SF in the area since 1996. CBRE's Mark Emerick, John Barksdale, Ace Schlameus and Darryl Dadon are leasing the project.
