With more than 500K SF already in the Atlanta market, global coworking giant WeWork will soon add another location in the city.
WeWork leased the entire 40K SF building at 1389 Peachtree, a renovated office project that is part of the Boundary campus in Midtown Atlanta. Boundary is a three-building project off 17th Street by Atlanta-based Parkside Partners. Including WeWork, the project is 40% leased, Parkside officials said.
This is just the latest in coworking's steady growth in Atlanta. Earlier this week, Industrious announced plans to lease 19K SF at Monarch Tower in Buckhead, a building owned by Highwoods Properties, and plans to expand its first suburban Atlanta location by an additional 17K SF.
Late last year, WeWork officials announced that they were eyeing suburban locations in Atlanta. That search may still be ongoing, but it hasn't stopped the company from adding to its urban footprint in the city's hottest office market.
