Another prominent Midtown Atlanta parcel that could have a price tag reaching $8M is out to market.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta has put its 30K SF headquarters building at 1382 Peachtree St. on the market, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports. The organization purchased the building in 2011 for $4.2M, but observers tell the ABC the building and its half-acre parcel could sell for nearly double that price.

“How often can you find a nicely renovated building in the strongest market in the Southeast?” Colliers International Atlanta Senior Vice President Michael Lipton said to the ABC. Lipton is marketing the building for Big Brothers Big Sisters, which will move out once it goes to a new owner.

The building is in the heart of Atlanta's Midtown market, one that has seen near-unprecedented growth since the Great Recession. NCR and Anthem Healthcare already spearheaded new office buildings in the submarket, and Norfolk Southern and the law firm Smith, Gambrell & Russell are launching new office towers as well.

Officials with Big Brother Big Sisters told the ABC that they plan to move into a smaller facility.
