Oakmont, Carlyle Go Spec Again

With a little help from The Carlyle Group, Oakmont Industrial Group is the latest to go spec in Atlanta's industrial landscape. The firm purchased 35 acres just half a mile from I-285 in South Fulton Industrial in Union City for a new park called Oakmont/85 South. In turn, the developer plans a 370k SF spec cross-dock warehouse project that will deliver by this fall. This is the second Oakmont/Carlyle spec project in Atlanta this past year. In September, Oakmont broke ground on Skyline/20 West, a 605k SF spec facility off I-20. JLL's Steve Grable, Chris Tomasulo and Stephen Bridges will lease the newest project.
