Majestic Realty Trust has signed a British fashion and beauty retailer's e-commerce fulfillment center in a deal that will bring 1,600 jobs to Union City.

ASOS plans to occupy a 1M SF distribution center, developed by Majestic, in the south Fulton County area, said Schroder Public Relations founder Chris Schroder, Majestic's spokesperson.

Majestic — headed by Stan Conway in Atlanta — has had some big wins in recent years. Last year, it snagged a 1.2M SF deal with UPS for a ground parcel facility next to Fulton County Airport-Charlie Brown Field. And in 2014, Majestic secured a 1.2M SF deal with Walmart for an e-commerce distribution hub.

The $40M deal will give ASOS a 10 million-unit capacity with room for growth, Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal said in a statement accompanying the announcement of the deal.

“Atlanta is an ideal location for us, it is a vibrant and growing international city with a diverse culture,” ASOS Vice President of Logistics Brent Dorfman said in a statement. "We will use the region’s transportation network and deep pool of talent to deliver ASOS’ best-in-class service to U.S customers."
