Atlanta
Placeholder

Atlanta is gaining ground as a leading center for research and development (R&D), with numerous innovation centers coming to the region, especially in Midtown. According to Moody’s Analytics, July 2015, Atlanta ranked the fourth-fastest-growing metro area in technology jobs since 2008, behind San Francisco, San Jose and New York. Georgia Power Community and Economic Development officials add that the technology cluster, centered around Georgia Tech, is creating meaningful drivers of growth and company spinoffs and collaboration. Talent and innovation are the two factors that companies are seeking, and Atlanta is garnering a dominant share of interest. Georgia Power, the largest subsidiary of Southern Co, has worked hand-in-hand with both state and local partners to help bring more than 121,000 jobs and $24B in capital investment to Georgia.
