From new hotels and a suburban hospital coming inside the Perimeter to a new mixed-use apartment project, City of Atlanta permits are giving us a glimpse of the next projects to sprout on the skyline.

As we first reported here, SC-based Sejwad Hospitality has filed permits to move forward on renovations of 166 Pryor St (aka 110 Mitchell St, here) to turn the vacant facility into Atlanta's first Cambria Hotel. The permit specifically seeks to begin demo-ing the interior space to make way for future construction of the $16.5M redevelopment for Choice Hotels International.

Other permits filed include:

  • Northside Hospital's 17-story medical office building at 1110 West Peachtree (here). The hospital system purchased the 1.5-acre parcel at the corner of 12th St for $4.5M in 2014 and has since been working on plans for a 200k SF MOB.

  • Start of Legacy Ventures' duel-branded Hilton hotel of Homewood Suites and Canopy by Hilton at 311 Marietta St, in the Luckie-Marietta District. We first reported here Legacy's David Marvin's plans for the $80M, 350-key project.
  • Alliance Residential's plans for 1084 Howell Mill, a nearly 3-acre tract behind White Provisions that is slated for what the firm calls Broadstone West Midtown in permits. While Alliance's permits put the size of the complex at 212k SF, the specific number of units was not disclosed. But Haddow & Co reports that the six-story project will encompass 275 units achieving $2.15/SF rents, delivering by April of 2018.
