Other recent deals include Towne Air Freight, which inked an eight-year,246k SF deal at Colony's Airport Gateway (above), the same property formerly leased by CEVA, which moved to another nearby facility (Transwesterns Julian Brown repped the tenant). TransAtlantic Sales also inked a 20k SF expansion (to 60k SF) at DCTs Northmont Distribution Center (below, repped by NAI Brannen Goddard's Nathan Anderson).

Industrial activity is up across the board, Doug says. Certainly among big box users, but Doug and Tanner say theyre also seeing a jump in activity with smaller industrial users--the mom-and-pop companies that have been absentin past years. Most of the people have resigned themselves to the fact that we are what we are politically, Doug says. I think everybodys adjusting to the new norm.

So, when will the famous CRE softball league start this year?(Because State Bank & Trust's Hunter Amos wants another homer under his belt.) Its not, unfortunately. Doug--one of the main organizers of the annual series--says the group could not renew the field this year due to unspecified circumstances. "Softball is not on for this year, but our hope is to have it back for the 2014 season."Have an idea to save softball this year? Contact Tanner to help.
