SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: Cumberland CID Prepares For Braves

Atlanta
Placeholder

Cumberland CID executive director Malaika Rivers wants to take you out to the new ball game with the exciting announcement that the Braves are coming to town (in three years, but that’s a blink of an eye in commercial real estate). Of the 60 acres the Atlanta Braves are purchasing, 15 are for the new stadium while 45 will be a taxable, mixed-use development (to be created by the Braves and some lucky TBA JV partner). Mixed-use value: $400M. Add that to the $672M for the stadium itself and you have a quite a Phase I (future phases could add another $400M). The former office-heavy community is getting diverse and comfy; 3,000 dwelling units are planned, as well as the new cultural attractions that will keep the natives local and the visitors visiting: a performing arts center, a major convention center, and now, play ball!
