| Bisnow wants to offer its condolences regarding some tragic news that's just reached us. Atlanta CRE veteran and Georgia Tech professor Skip Beebe passed away last night. According to a CBRE memo, he died ?due to complications from a fall? soon after his participation on a CoreNet Global Summit panel. Skip was a 14-year vet at CBRE in Atlanta, retiring in 2007. ?He touched many livesand influenced many careers [at CBRE],? the memo states. ?Skip remained a positive influence at CBRE, serving as a mentor and counselor to many of our people and a popular instructor at CBRE University. The entire CBRE community mourns his untimely passing.? According to a GaTech bio, where Skip was a Ledbetter Professor of the Practice of Real Estate Developmnt, he began his career at Cousins Properties and then founded Mobil Land Development Corp. Eventually, he became president of Wilma Southeast, a Dutch-owned development and investment company, and then he joined CBRE, eventually leading the Atlanta office. Our thoughts are with Skip's family and friends. |
