An old  Tom Jumper  service center, which was in receivership, sold for $3.6 million, to Manfred Kammerer (right), who will open his eighth Classic Collision dealership in the Sandy Springs location. Posing in front of the 93K SF property with Manfred (a former pro soccer player in Germany) is Transwestern's Kevin Markwordt, the broker who repped the seller, Glass Ratner Management & Realty Advisors. Kevin stresses brokers must work harder these days to sell properties, especially distressed ones. He hand-delivered the service center brochure to every car dealership in Atlanta—eventually leading to the deal. Kevin also is marketing the old Tom Jumper dealership (price: $7.3 million). And he recently repped the owner in the sale of two office parks in Norcross (Crossings Center IV and Crossings Center VI), also distressed.
