A State Farm Exchange?
What's up with the latest State Farm rumors? (Everyone at school is passing notes about it.) We learned from various sources late last week that the insurance giant may be eyeing another possibility for its much-talked about build-to-suit campus in Central Perimeter: Hammond Exchange. Earlier this year, State Farm leased the entire 250k SF building as part of its regional operations move to Atlanta. Then GE put the building on the market with JLL. And now, sources say it's off the market as it negotiates a possible sale of the building and surrounding land with State Farm. Officials with JLL declined to comment. A State Farm spokesperson tells us, "As part of our normal business plan, we look for space. We are currently evaluating long-term options in Atlanta." It's a site that could give State Farm the chance to develop its massive campus.
