Dallas Investor Buys Comcast HQ

Comcast's new Peachtree Corners HQ has a new owner. Dallas-based Macfarlan Capital Partners has purchased the 144k SF former Wells REIT mid-rise at 6200 The Corners Parkway, planted in the heart of Gwinnett County's newest city, for an undisclosed sum. JLL's Jason Piering and Drew Kiesling brokered the sale along with PMRG's Bill Weghorst, Chip Roach, Stephen Clifton and Joe Oglesby. The sale includes a six-acre pad site, which Macfarlan is marketing for a build-to-suit project. As we previously reported, Comcast selected 6200 as its HQ building earlier this year.

This is Macfarlan's second office buy in Atlanta this year. In January, the firm purchased Royal Ridge (here), a 160,500 SF office building within striking range of North American Properties' Avalon development. And Macfarlan isn't the only investor buying in Peachtree Corners. As we previously reported, Glenfield Capital purchased a couple of Peachtree Corners buildings earlier this year as well.
