Jim Irwin is the President of New City, LLC and directs the company’s real estate development and consulting operations, as well as new business pursuits. Over the course of his career, Jim has been responsible for over $500 million of new investment around the United States. Prior to founding New City, Jim served as a Senior Vice President at Jamestown Properties, leading the development of Ponce City Market, a 2.1 million square foot former Sears, Roebuck & Co. distribution facility that was originally constructed in the 1920’s. During its redevelopment, the project was one of the largest and most significant historic renovations underway in the United States. Jim began his career in real estate working for Atlanta-based Barry Real Estate Companies. Among other projects, Jim managed the development of a FBI Regional Headquarters, a $60 million-build-to-suit project in Minneapolis, and Harrison Square, a 16 acre mixed-use development in Fort Wayne, Indiana, anchored by an 8,000 seat minor league ballpark associated with the San Diego Padres. Since it opened to the public, the ballpark has been named “best overall minor league baseball experience” in the country four separate years. Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College, where he played football for four years. After college, he served as a legislative aide to two U.S. senators and a U.S. representative before returning to Atlanta to pursue a MBA with a concentration in real estate finance at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. Jim and his wife, Elisabeth, have three young children.

Prior to joining Highwoods in 2006, Jim was a private investor in industrial properties in Atlanta. Jim also acquired, operated, and sold a national trucking company, the revenues of which he grew 10-fold over a period of nine years. Jim’s real estate experience includes an extensive national background in acquisitions, finance, development, leasing and property management. Jim was director of acquisitions for Anderson Properties and vice president of acquisitions for Consolidated Resources. He started his career in Atlanta as a certified public accountant with Price Waterhouse, where he was employed for five years. He is a licensed GA real estate broker.

Mr. Heagy is a senior managing director and is responsible for the leasing and marketing of the office projects and for securing corporate services and mixed-use development assignments in the Southeast Region of the United States. Mr. Heagy joined the firm in 1996 and has been active in Atlanta's commercial real estate market since 1977. Heagy received his BA in Political Science from the University of Georgia. Mr. Heagy serves on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, Central Atlanta Progress (CAP); Metro Atlanta Chamber; and the Perimeter Community Improvement District (PCID).

Fred is the Executive Vice President of Daniel Corp and leads our team in Atlanta for business pursuits in our development and investment businesses. Fred previously worked at CBRE where he was a Senior Vice President in the firm’s Capital Markets Group. Fred brings more than 30 years of real estate industry experience as both an owner, developer, broker and consultant, including leadership tenures at Trammell Crow Company, Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal, and Royal LePage. Fred is a graduate of the University of Georgia and lives in Cobb County with his wife Susan.

Scott joined Cooper Carry in 2015 bringing more than ten years of experience to Cooper Carry’s Corporate Studio. He was promoted to Associate Principal in 2019. Scott has extensive experience in all project phases, as well as unique experience designing iconic headquarter buildings that incorporate office, training, and public event facilities. Additionally, he has a complete and thorough understanding of construction documentation and construction administration. Scott works extensively with our office and corporate studios where he brings experience and skill leading complicated design teams. Scott pulls from a rich history in education, healthcare, civic and religious architecture to bring fresh insights to his many years of corporate and office work. His contribution to the large corporate campus at Park Center was a crucial factor to the ongoing success of the project.

Scott Moore joined Humphries and Company in 1985.  For the first 25 years of Scott’s career he project managed over 800 projects in more than 125 buildings in the greater Atlanta area.  Scott has since transitioned into the business development side of the company where he is involved in both developing new clients and retaining existing clients.  Scott also serves as the Principle-in- Charge on many of the company’s largest projects.  Under Scott’s leadership, Humphries has grown to become the largest interior general contractor in Atlanta.  Scott is a graduate of Georgia State University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration.  Scott spends his free time exercising and traveling with his wife and two kids.

AREA OF EXPERTISE Jodi Selvey specializes in Office Tenant Representation. She works with her clients to provide strategic planning and solutions to their real estate needs. Ms. Selvey offers over 28 years of comprehensive real estate experience which includes leasing a number of corporate headquarters locations, office building sales, site selection, restructuring of leases and providing detailed nancial analysis. Jodi executes in a creative way to solve complicated transactions, whether she’s asked to sell a difficult building, meet a nonpro t organization’s nancial benchmarks, or seek out non-traditional solutions for a client. Additionally, Ms. Selvey works with national clients on multi-city assignments, thereby creating a single point of contact for all their real estate needs across the country. COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT Ms. Selvey has been involved in fundraising for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Atlanta Ronald McDonald House, where she co-chaired the annual Brookhaven Tour of Homes for four years. She is also involved with Habitat for Humanity—serving on the fundraising committee and as a builder for the Marist Women Build since 2005. Ms. Selvey is very involved in her alma mater, where she chaired the UGA Parents Council in 2016 and 2017 and is currently a member of the 2018 UGA Board of Visitors. She is an executive board member at the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors (ACBR) and is a member of the Million Dollar Club and Sponsorship Committees. BUSINESS AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND Ms. Selvey has been actively engaged in the commercial real estate eld since 1987 and joined Colliers International in 2003. She came to Colliers from Richard Bowers & Company, where she was the number one producer in both 2001 and 2002. She became a partner as well as the rst female partner in the Colliers Atlanta office in 2005. Ms. Selvey is the head of the Office Services Group in Atlanta. Justin Latone is the Senior Vice President of Leasing for S.J. Collins Enterprises. He joined the company in 2016 with more than 8 years of experience as a Senior Leasing Director at Weingarten Realty. Currently, he and his team are responsible for leasing several specialty grocery-anchored and mixed-use lifestyle centers throughout the Southeast, Mid Atlantic and Florida regions, equating to approximately 1.6 million square feet of retail and office space. His primary responsibilities include managing third-party leasing brokers and directing leasing assignments. In both scenarios, his specialties are sourcing prospective tenants for appropriate tenant mix placement and negotiating and finalizing letters of intents and leases for high-growth retailers and office tenants. With nearly 12 years of leasing experience working with national and regional operators, Justin has excelled at generating interest and finalizing deals at the developer’s ideal locations. While at S.J. Collins Enterprises, Justin and his team have consistently leased more than 250,000 square feet of new space annually. Some of the dynamic developments he is currently leasing include The Interlock, an award-winning $450 million mixed-use center rising in Atlanta’s West Midtown neighborhood, and Southern Post, a multi-use property soon to transform a section of Downtown Roswell, Georgia. Born in Charlotte and raised in Atlanta, Justin graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international trade from Georgia Southern University with a minor in Spanish. Justin lives in Atlanta with his wife, Emily, and two boys, Davis and Oliver.

Jeff Shaw is the Chief Executive Officer of Bridge Commercial Real Estate (BCRE). Mr. Shaw has 24 years of direct experience in commercial office real estate brokerage, leasing, and direct operational oversight in executive and leadership positions. He provides office leasing demand analysis and marketing strategies while leading the firm’s property management and leasing operations. Prior to joining Bridge, Shaw served as CEO and co-founder of Fairlead Commercial Real Estate from 2012 to 2016, President of JOS Corporate Real Estate from 2004 to 2012. He held senior leasing positions with brokerage companies Insignia/ESG (CBRE) from 1998 to 2003, Compass Management & Leasing (JLL) from 1997 to 1998, and Cushman & Wakefield from 1994 to 1997, where he was responsible for direct leasing and oversaw over 16 million square feet of many of the Southeast’s largest urban and suburban office buildings. Shaw has provided asset leasing advisory for Northwestern Mutual, Lend Lease Investments, America’s Capital Partners, Equitable Real Estate, LNR Partners, RREEF, Selig Enterprises, General Electric, and others. He works closely with an extensive national network of tenants, brokers, equity clients, and leasing teams to source opportunity and drive portfolio value. Mr. Shaw attended Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.

JD Jeske is WiredScore’s Head of Atlanta, leading the expansion of the company’s Wired Certification program across the Southeast office market. He previously served as a Senior Associate at Avison Young’s Atlanta office where he specialized in tenant representation with a focus on technology and startups. His experience also includes serving in brokerage and property management roles at CBRE in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors -Young Council of Realtors (YCR) and Buckhead Business Association. JD holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration from Auburn University.

Craig joined Marx Realty as its President and CEO in 2017 and has been responsible for growing the company as well as streamlining the company’s strategy by focusing on value-add office investments in three core markets: New York City, Washington D.C. and Atlanta. Craig is also charged with repositioning Marx’s entire portfolio as well as growing the Marx team and profitability. Over his 25-year career, Craig has vast experience in every aspect of the real estate industry and believes in a very hands-on approach. Prior to Marx, he held senior roles at both private equity and private development companies, including redeveloping over 50 assets in major markets across the country with a particular emphasis on NY and DC. Craig’s projects have received various awards from industry groups such as NAIOP, BOMA, Globe St., Crain’s, Washington Business Journal and AIA. He has been interviewed as a thought and innovation leader in several features in the Wall Street Journal, CNN, Bloomberg and on CNBC, and was selected as one of the Real Estate Forum’s Best Bosses of 2019. Craig was named to the 2020 Commercial Observer’s Power 100 List. Craig previously practiced law in the real estate and litigation departments at Skadden before transitioning to the business side of the industry. Craig graduated Cum Laude from Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business (where he currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Advisory Board) and earned a J.D. at Fordham University’s School of Law. Craig serves on the Mixed-Use Council of the Urban Land Institute and on the Strategic Advisory Council of Shadow Ventures, a venture capital firm specializing in PropTech investments.

Brad Raber is a Market Analyst for CoStar Group, specializing in the Atlanta market. Brad serves as the resident expert on Georgia, covering economic and real estate trends. Brad is responsible for both market and submarket analysis, sharing granular insights into all commercial property types. Brad presents on market conditions to lenders, developers, and owners, and has been quoted by major news sources like the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Alabama Magazine, and Jacksonville Business Journal. Brad is a proud Atlanta native, having attended Georgia Tech. He also holds an MBA from UVA’s Darden School of Business.

For nearly 20 years, Ian Reves has designed at the nexus of brand experience and business as a Brand Designer, corporate Interior Designer and now as an Architect with Collins Cooper Carusi Architects, an Atlanta firm that has designed some of the most innovative workplaces, and also educational spaces producing tomorrow’s workforce. As an Associate, Ian is helping lead the efforts to design the future of work, and takes particular interest in the effects of technology-based space on the physical environment, and the important role a company’s unique culture plays in informing design, attracting & retaining talent and catalyzing more engaged, well balanced teams. He’s also currently leading efforts to realize several sustainable workplaces, including WELL certified spaces that take a holistic approach to providing health and wellness amenities in and around workplace communities.

Ms. Engel is an accomplished commercial real estate executive. Her broad strengths include business development and commercial real estate development, personnel management, sales management and product marketing. Ms. Engel’s leadership abilities have been recognized by organizations, corporations and foundations. She is the immediate Past-Chair of the Kennesaw State University Foundation and in 2011 Connie was named Executive in Residence for the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University. Previously she was President of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties of Georgia (NAIOP) and she is a Past President of Commercial Real Estate Women. Ms. Engel additionally has a wide understanding of current issues, obstacles and opportunities facing our country in foreign policy and national security which she has received through her membership in and involvement with Business Executives for National Security. (BENS). Ms. Engel is a Partner in the Atlanta Office Division of Childress Klein Properties and has been in charge of development and leasing at the prestigious Atlanta Galleria, for over twenty years. Responsibilities include lease negotiations (legal and economic issues), development and implementation of advertising, marketing strategy and preparation and implementation of the budgets for approximately 2,000,000 square feet of Class A office space in five high rise office buildings. Ms. Engel has been frequently recognized as a leader in her industry. In 2010, NAIOP of Georgia honored Ms. Engel with the Award of Excellence for dedicated service to the commercial real estate industry. Twice she was the Top Producer in office leasing in the greater metropolitan Atlanta. In 2015, Ms. Engel was inducted into the inaugural Kennesaw State University Business School Hall of Fame in recognition of professional accomplishments, contribution and leadership in the community. Ms. Engel’s community involvement responsibilities include being an elected Board Member in 1998 and Treasurer (2000 – 2008) of the Cumberland Community Improvement District, which is responsible for allocating a special property tax collected from commercial property owners for transportation and other improvements in Cobb County. The CCID has leveraged over $100 million of private assessments to over $1 billion in transportation and streetscape improvements. In 2005, Ms. Engel was selected to serve on the Board of Trustees for Kennesaw State University, the third largest and fastest growing university in the state of Georgia. In 2006, she was asked to increase her involvement by becoming a member of the Executive Committee and in 2007 she became Chair of the Real Estate Committee. In 2008, the Real Estate committee spearheaded the purchase of 100 acres of land for future sports/stadium areas for Kennesaw State University. She has received the Erwin Zaban Award and the Clarice Bagwell Award from Kennesaw State University for outstanding contribution and leadership within the KSU Board of Trustees. In October of 2009 she was elected Vice Chair of the Foundation and in October of 2010 she was chosen Chair Elect of the Foundation. She became Chair of The Foundation in October 2012 and completed her term in 2014. Currently she is immediate past chair of the Foundation. In 2011, Georgia Governor Nathan Deal appointed Ms. Engel to the Georgia Board of Dentistry, consumer representative. Ms. Engel graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Communications and an area of concentration in Public Address. She is an MBA graduate of Kennesaw State University’s Coles College of Business. Ms. Engel’s interests include golf and flying: she is a certified multi-engine pilot of 18 years. Ms. Engel has been married to Pete Watson for over twenty-five years and has three children: Jacqueline Watson Grech, Esq.; Sarah Oddsen DeCaro, M.D.; and Ellis Watson, a graduate of the University of Georgia.
