Tim Perry is passionate about the power of community building and all the ingredients needed to create a great place: walkability, connectivity, hospitality, street-level energy, events and the right mix of uses. He deeply believes that fixing high-potential-but-challenged mixed-use developments or bringing new experience through additional neighborhood density is the best way North American Properties can give communities the great places they deserve. As Managing Partner, he is responsible for advancing North American Properties’ vision and strategy to acquire, reposition, and redevelop mixed-use communities as well as adding to the firm’s portfolio of fortress commercial properties. Tim has driven North American Properties’ acquisition strategy for over a decade ultimately serving as North American Properties’ Vice President of Acquisitions in 2009, Director of Investments in 2012 and Chief Investment Officer in 2015. He previously led the acquisition, due diligence, capitalization or disposition teams for landmark communities Atlantic Station, Avalon, Colony Square, Newport on the Levee, Birkdale Village and Avenue East Cobb; and the debt/venture capitalization through his career of over $2.5 billion of total value.

James Kelly is a Director with Hunt Real Estate Capital. Mr. Kelly is based in the Atlanta office and is responsible for structuring and financing multifamily and commercial real estate through Hunt’s mortgage banking platform. Hunt offers Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and FHA executions as well as its proprietary products, which include fixed rate, bridge, and equity. Mr. Kelly has 21 years of commercial real estate experience in mortgage banking, securitization, underwriting, and asset management. Before joining Hunt in 2010, Mr. Kelly valued loan portfolios, failed bank assets, and distressed banks on behalf of private institutional investors seeking acquisitions. Prior to this role, Mr. Kelly was a Senior Production Associate at CWCapital where he focused on the origination of CMBS, Mezzanine, and Bridge loans. Mr. Kelly earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Virginia Tech. Mr. Kelly is an active member of the Real Estate Group of Atlanta (REGA) and the Real Estate Investment Advisory Council (REIAC).

Joe Pella is the Senior Vice President and Market Manager for the Georgia Commercial Real Estate Team based in Atlanta. In this role, he is responsible for delivery of SunTrust’s platform of tailored products, services and financial solutions to privately owned commercial real estate developers and investors in Georgia. Joe began his banking career with SunTrust in 2006. Prior to his current role, he was the Group Vice President and Team Leader for the Residential Homebuilder Group of CRE, responsible for providing financial solutions to private homebuilders within the SunTrust footprint. Joe has also held various roles and responsibilities in Special Assets and as a Relationship Manager in the Residential Homebuilder Group. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute – Atlanta and former co-chair of the Programs Committee. He is also a Board Member of the Midtown Alliance. Joe is a graduate of the University of Georgia with dual Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Real Estate and Risk Management & Insurance. He is married with two young children.

Norman Radow’s vision when establishing The RADCO Companies in 1994 was borne out of a lifelong passion to make neighborhoods and people’s lives better. RADCO’s first project was the redevelopment of a distressed 53-story Atlanta hotel, office, and condominium tower, which later became the Four Seasons Hotel. The notable turnaround project put the company on the map and more than 100 successful projects later, RADCO remains a fearless, successful, and flexible leader in the real estate industry. Prior to founding The RADCO Companies, Norman was a seasoned real estate litigation, workout, and transactional lawyer. Awarded a Juris Doctor by New York Law School in 1981 and a Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Plattsburgh in 1978, he is licensed to practice in both New York and Georgia. As a Chairman of the Kennesaw State University Foundation Board of Trustees, Norman oversaw the expansion of the 33,000-student university in metropolitan Atlanta. During his 13-year tenure, the campus doubled in size with the addition of $500 million in new buildings that he helped finance and develop. Norman is currently a member of the New York Law School Board of Trustees and previously served as an Adjunct Professor at Emory University School of Law. He is a dynamic speaker and real estate industry expert that has been featured on CNBC, Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and more.

Kris Miller, Ackerman & Co.’s President since 1998, sets the strategic direction for the firm’s investment, management and leasing initiatives. Under his leadership, the company has experienced consistent growth and diversified earnings, solidifying its standing as one of the leading full-service commercial real estate firms in the Southeast. To date, Ackerman & Co. has developed and acquired nearly 35 million square feet of office, medical, industrial, retail and mixed-use space; maintains an investment portfolio valued at $1 billion; and has 8 million square feet under management. Miller is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the State of Georgia. He serves on the Perimeter Community Improvement Districts Board, the Real Estate Investment Advisory Council (REIAC) and the Carter Center Board of Councilors. He is a Forum Leader of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), past Program Chair of the Harvard University Real Estate Academic Initiative and President of the Silver Lake Association, an 80-acre, old-growth urban forest dedicated to green space preservation. He is also an active member of NAIOP and ICSC. A magna cum laude graduate of Harvard University with an A.B. in Economics, he also attended the London School of Economics & Political Science and Citicorp’s Institute of Global Finance and Management Program for MBA’s focusing on corporate finance, capital structuring risk management, and public and private capital markets.

As Chief Investment Officer, Mike Altman directs Cortland's investment strategy with a focus on asset management. Mike joined Cortland in 2007 as a development associate and has played an integral role in growing the company, becoming Executive Vice President of Investments in 2010 before assuming his current role in 2013. Over the course of his career with Cortland, he has led many core aspects of the business that have directly influenced Cortland's evolution from a small development company to one of the leading companies in the multifamily industry, including capital raising and portfolio strategy. His expertise in Cortland’s growth provides a unique perspective on the value of vertical integration, the results of Cortland’s acquisition and renovation strategy, and the influence of a resident-centric approach within the apartment industry. Mike holds his master's degree in Real Estate from Georgia State University and his bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the University of Georgia. He is a licensed real estate broker and is associated with the Atlanta Multifamily Network and the U.S. Green Building Council.

Will James is be part of NorthMarq’s national equity team providing guidance where appropriate. Since 1998, Will has participated in or directed transactions with a real estate value of over $2.0 Billion. His involvement in the debt and equity components of these transactions equals just over $1.4 Billion. Approximately 65% of these transactions since 1998 involved the arrangement of equity, mezzanine and/or preferred equity capital for his clients. Since 2005, almost 80% of his transactions involved risk capital, and in the last 6 years 75%+ have included risk capital. Will founded JW Realty Capital in 2004 which was associated with an Atlanta based Real Estate Investment Banking firm from 2005-2011. While associated with BridgePointe Advisors, Will expanded and executed real estate investment banking assignments for the company. Will's area of expertise is structured finance and working with clients who seek risk capital in tandem with senior debt. Will has been in the real estate valuation and financial consulting industry for 20 years upon graduating with a major in Real Estate from the University of South Carolina. The first 1/3 of Will's career involved providing real property tax valuation services to commercial property owners when he was hired by a local boutique company in 1990. Within a few years Will was hired to start the Atlanta real property tax practice for Arthur Andersen LLP where he worked with national and local clients within the firm. After running this practice for 5.5 years, Will left Andersen and shifted his career to mortgage banking where he was hired in 1998 as a Senior Analyst with Holliday, Fenoglio, Fowler, LP's Atlanta office. Will is married and has 1 child. They enjoy the outdoors and the many sports activities a 8 year old son can explore.
