DC Power Women Breakfast!
Yesterday morning, we headed to the W Hotel for The Wrap's DC Power Women Breakfast!
Author Margaret Atwood and award-winning actress Elisabeth Moss appeared at the breakfast to talk about the upcoming Hulu series The Handmaid’s Tale, based on Atwood’s 1985 best-selling novel.
The event also featured a panel discussion on “Covering Trump: The Women on the Front Line." Here, moderator Recode executive editor Kara Swisher with editor of Politico Carrie Budoff Brown, White House reporter for The Huffington Post Christina Wilkie and senior White House correspondent for ABC News Cecilia Vega.
The Power Women Breakfast series brings together influential women of entertainment, media, technology and brands in key cities to network and connect. Here, The Creative Coalition CEO Robin Bronk with SAG-AFTRA president Gabrielle Carteris and DPE AFL-CIO's Paul Almeida.

Here, members of Women in Film & Video: producer and daughter of legendary filmmaker William Wyler (Ben-Hur) Catherine Wyler with producer Phylis Geller, advisory board member and writer/producer of Wakefield Monica Lee Bellais, board member Ann Zamudio and Women in Film & Video president Rebecca Bustamante. The group is working with screenwriters in the DC area and bridging them with Hollywood through WIFV - Spotlight on Screenwriters.
Attendees also had access to a silent auction that raised money to support the International Women’s Media Foundation. Here, Causeumentary's Emily Larsen and Katie Thompson.
