Touchstone Gallery Opening!
Friday, we went to the May opening reception at Touchstone Gallery. Among the art works displayed were "Connect/Disconnect 2" paintings by Marcia Coppel. Also on display was Coppel’s "Talk to Each Other. We don’t have WiFi" exhibit about communication and the lack of it in contemporary culture. We snapped Touchstone Gallery director Ksenia Grishkova with Marcia Coppel.
The artists’ work will be on display until May 28. Here, engineer Brad Garant, LGBTQ & Ally Education Program's Rain Garant and biologist Beth Garant.
The other exhibit on display was "275 Stripes,” a new series of work by Jeanne Garant created using numerous stripes, varying in width and color, but producing a serene rhythm within. Here, Jeanne Garant with Whitman College’s Pat Dennis.
Touchstone Gallery’s Kathryn Scheuring, JLL’s Melanie Knapp and W.W. Norton’s Emily Constantinou.
