Summer Jazz on Jackson Place!
We headed to Decatur House for the July installment of Summer Jazz on Jackson Place! We snapped Trinity University professor Faith Pippin with investment consultant Jackie Williams and travel photographer and Food & Wine writer Jake McGuire enjoying the warm summer day.
In their 11th season, the summer jazz concerts at the Decatur House courtyard make the perfect summer evening. Here, Cafe Deluxe's Manuel Ruiz joins WHHA Special Events Coordinator Kelly Habig and Director of Special Events Arioth Harrison Smirne with the U.S. Antarctic Program's Britt Barquist.
In addition to the live jazz, guests enjoyed a wide array of appetizers such as fried chicken on honey biscuits and manchego salami skewers. Here, Hans and Nicole Etienne join Shelly and James Dixon and David Hovey.
Attendees also enjoyed an open bar full of refreshing drinks to cool down on the summer evening. Here, DC friends Jenn Scherer, Tom Humplik, Pamela Faber and Mathew Shearman enjoying the live music and refreshments.
The next installment of the jazz series will be Thursday, Aug. 6. Here, alto saxophonist and composer Sarah Hughes and her jazz ensemble perform.
