Saturday night, we went to Dancing After Dark at Dock 5 at Union Market. We snapped Founder's Reception co-chairs John Green and LeeAnn Goheen with Children's National Health System CEO Kurt Newman and Junior Council co-chairs Carolyn Downs and Paul Grayson.
Junior Council of Children’s National Health System hosted the event of 500 young professionals, emerging leaders and children’s health advocates gathering to raise money for local children. The main event featured drinks and hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, the Nightsong Band and Dr. Bear, the Children’s National mascot. Here, filmmaker Nathalie Gruden, AGC's Marisa Strickler and Colleen Crowley, who works in association management.
Since 2008, Dancing After Dark and the Junior Council have raised nearly $1M to help Children’s National provide the most sophisticated, personalized and compassionate care for every child in need, regardless of the family’s ability to pay. Here, David Yurman Jewelry's Kate Yakimitsova and Eric Bartley.
Children’s National Health System, based in DC, has been serving the nation’s children since 1870. Children’s National is recognized for its expertise and innovation in pediatric care and as a strong voice for children through advocacy at the local, regional and national levels. Here, Lewin Group's Neil McCray, Steinman Rodgers LLP's Audrey Karman, Katharine Hayes and UnitedHealth Group's Andrew Postal.
