Affairs of State!
Saturday was the 10th annual Affairs of State gala and fundraiser at City Tavern Club. Snapped: gala host committee co-chairs Anastasia Dellaccio and Torrey Shallcross flank Young Professionals in Foreign Policy founder and board chair Joshua Marcuse.
During the gala, YPFP announced a new Veterans’ U.S. National Security Fellowship. This year’s event was held this past Veterans Day weekend, recognizing the importance of veterans’ voices in foreign policy. Here, BAE Systems’ Zach Dickens with his wife, Ijet International’s Anamika Dickens. Zach won Charged Affairs Content Call during the event by YPFP, which believes that the perspectives of young professionals, and particularly veterans, are critical to the conversation on global security. Zach wrote the winning piece, "Resolving South Asia’s Cold War: Pakistan, India, and the Pursuit of Peace in Afghanistan."
YPFP also announced a new partnership with Veterans in Global Leadership, awarding 20 VGL fellows complimentary YPFP membership and giving them access to YPFP’s exclusive events, publishing opportunities and network of over 17,000 NextGen professionals worldwide. Here, AMIDEAST’s Alex Penler with IREX’s Adrianne Jacobs.
YPFP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to informing, building and amplifying NextGen voices to advance innovative solutions to global challenges. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., with branches in New York, Brussels and London, the YPFP network consists of 17,000-plus leaders from 80 countries across the globe.
