Corcoran Uncorked!
Last night we stopped by the Corcoran Gallery’s monthly Uncorked for wine and art.
This month’s theme, the Best + Brightest, included sculpture making, live music, interactive performance art, and a cash bar. We snapped Chemonics’ Xian Zhang, Free the Slaves’ Alex Woods, Women’s Action for New Directions’ Erica Fein, and Johns Hopkins’ Krasi Shapkarova.
Fairfax Public Schools’ Sara Boyce and Sara Hawkins, Chemonics’ Andrea Poling, and Kristin Hughes with their yarn and wire sculptures inspired by featured artist Bruce Nauman.
Kristin Davison, who came to support her sister Olivia Davidson, a Corcoran student whose work is on display, is with friends Kathleen Hudik and Sofia Castillo.
Discovery’s April George, Maha Kemal, and Eokan Polaf. The next Corcoran Uncorked is Express Yourself on May 21.
