SONG PAK - REVOLUTION

Placeholder

Song Pak is the General Counsel for the Revolution Growth and Revolution Venture investment funds. She joined the Revolution family in 2006, when she began at Revolution Health. Over the last several years, Revolution has been a very active investor, believing that technology enables entrepreneurship to grow at a Moore's Law-like rate of change. Song says they're proud that many of the portfolio companies are based in cities that aren't traditional VC hot zones; Detroit and Nashville are developing as great startup hubs. Although Revolution has invested in Silicon Valley-based companies, it's also in DC, Maryland, Virginia, Texas, North Carolina, New York and Canada. Revolution's investment funds continue looking for promising companies and entrepreneurs in what they refer to as "Rise of the Rest" cities.

  • Song spent a couple of years becoming actively involved with the National Association of Seed and Venture Funds and the Department of Commerce in their efforts to promote entrepreneurship as a tool for economic development, in locations from Wichita, KS, to Chiang Mai, Thailand.
