Reappointing Rufus

Reappointing Rufus

IMG_3960
After four years of senior status, former DC Superior Court Chief Judge Rufus King is seeking reappointment. (On top of the court's 61 active associate judges, there are 30 senior judges.) Rufus was chief judge for eight years--during which he worked to reorganize the court's technology systems and probate and Family Division--and sat on the court since '84. He took on senior status in '08 (since then, Lee Satterfield has held the chief post) and joined a mediation and arbitration service called McCammon Group in '09. The DC Commission on Judicial Disabilities and Tenure is reviewing his request, and asks that anyone send in relevant info by March 22.
