World Gets A "C" Grade on Cybersecurity

Placeholder

The world is a “C” average when it comes to preparation for cyber attacks. Tenable Network Security’s Global Cybersecurity Assurance Report Card surveys over 500 IT people worldwide on how well they assess and mitigate cyber risk. The results are organized by country and industry. The weakest spots are in cloud applications and cloud infrastructure. Government and education received the lowest grades, and the financial services industry had the highest ratings. How’d the US fare? With a “B-", the country is best prepared to assess network infrastructure risk, but not so good at assessing mobile device risks. Tenable CEO Ron Gula says another concern is the uphill battle security professionals face in getting their organization’s leadership to prioritize security.
