Splittable App Saves Friendships

Placeholder

DC native Nick Katz has refocused his London-based company, Locatable, into a product company called Splittable. It helps roommates manage their household expenses. (Believe us when we tell you that friendships have ended over who uses the most soap.) The startup recently raised $1.2M to expand its software and boost marketing, reports TechCrunch. The round included several angels and VC firms, including Seedcamp, Playfair Capital and the London Co-Investment Fund, which is backed by the mayor of London. The app makes it clear who has paid for what and who should pay the next expense by going through a process Splittable calls “all squared meter,” which gives an at-a-glance overview of who owes what and to whom.
