Shipping App Gets Funding

Placeholder

PockitShip, an Uber-like, on-demand pick-up and delivery service for heavy goods, announced it raised an undisclosed amount of funding today from the Center for Innovative Technology’s GAP funds. The Chantilly company was launched by Steve Senkus last year to provide across-town or across-country deliveries of furniture, appliances, fitness equipment and other heavy consumer goods. The company’s web-enabled service was launched in the DC area and uses a network of over 4,000 delivery drivers throughout the US so we don't do this (see left) to our couches and cars. Steve said the undisclosed amount of money will enhance PockitShip's mobile app and go towards marketing.
