Meet the Next Generation of Coders

Placeholder

This group of high school girls just finished seven weeks of intensive computer science training through Girls Who Code DC, a program that teaches coding and introduces them to role models in the field. At the graduation ceremony this week at Georgetown University, the girls from the BSA-sponsored classroom presented the projects they designed. For example: PetConnect, an app that matches you to a pet in a local animal shelter based on how you answer a quiz; a mobile game with 2D graphics of a kayaker going through several challenges; and a college readiness app that helps students research and connect with schools.
