The Virginia Serious Game Institute opened in March on GMU’s Prince William County campus and it’s already churning out serious innovation. Director Scott Martin says the simulation, modeling, and serious game incubator has produced six businesses and created 70 new jobs. And two of them are getting ready to release their first products: Professions Quest started beta testing and debuted a multi-player online game for healthcare professional schools at a training simulation and education conference this week. Little Arms Studios debuted its firefighting training simulator at the same conference. The product is being used by the Fairfax County Fire Department.
