After signing several highly anticipated restaurants, bars and entertainment venues, The Wharf has lured its first clothing and furniture retailers to the Southwest Waterfront.

Hoffman-Madison Waterfront announced eight new tenants Tuesday totaling 10K SF, bringing its total Phase 1 retail leasing to roughly 80% ahead of its Oct. 12 grand opening, according to a spokesperson.

Five of the eight new retailers will open in District Square, the Wharf's open-air retail plaza that has already signed Politics and Prose. French furniture manufacturer Ligne Roset will open a 2,749 SF store in one of District Square's corner locations. Boutique clothing, jewelry and home decor concept A Beautiful Closet will open a 1,045 SF store in District Square. The shopping plaza's other three new additions include chocolate-maker Harper Macaw, BLINK Optical and Blush Med Skincare.

The Wharf's developers also announced three new retailers outside of District Square. Patrick's Fine Linens & Home Decor will open an 899 SF store on Water Street facing the waterfront. Restaurateur Med Lahlou will open a 1,980 SF pizzeria on Pearl Street, The Wharf's entertainment strip. A 560 SF dry cleaning and laundry shop, The Press, will open on Maine Avenue.

The new additions bolster The Wharf's shopping scene. Its previously announced soft-goods retailers include District Hardware and Bike, Cordial Craft Wine Beer and Spirits, Bella Moda Spa and CVS. It is also preparing to open several new restaurant concepts from well-known chefs such as Fabio and Maria Trabocchi, Mike Isabella, Jamie Leeds and Kwame Onwuachi.
