First Potomac Realty Building Wins Big At TOBY Awards
The Apartment and Office Building Association held its 32nd annual TOBY Awards this week, honoring the most outstanding buildings in the Washington, DC, region.
First Potomac Realty Trust took home the biggest award of the night for its Atlantic Corporate Park in Loudoun County. Above, First Potomac's Allison Fredericks, who manages the building, accepts the award.
While most of the awards were given to buildings, two individuals were recognized as well. Vornado/Charles E. Smith's Luis Miranda was named Commercial Chief/Lead Engineer of the Year and S.C. Herman and Associates Dwayne Walker was named Building Engineer/Maintenance Technician of the Year.
For the first time, AOBA's emergency preparedness committee handed out K.E.E.P awards. These awards recognize excellence in emergency preparedness. The recipients were Brookfield's 1200 K St, Vornado/Charles E. Smith's 1875 Connecticut Ave and 1101 17th St. Above, a team from Vornado with the night's emcees, Cushman & Wakefield's Ben Comm (far left) and Carr Properties Rich Greninger (far right).
