You may have thought starchitect Coke Florance, right, was retired by now—with 56 years in the profession, designing edifices like Terrell Place and the Verizon Center. But we broke bread with him yesterday at Buck's Fishing & Camping restaurant in NW and learned the human power plant still comes into the office and is put to work. With him were both wife Nancy (who had the sense not to be pictured) and SmithGroup managing partner Rus Perry (no typo, that's the spelling). Rus says, "You could say Coke's been an architect longer than I've been alive. It wouldn't be true, but you could say it."
