Jack Evans Welcomes Birds and Bees (and Butterflies)

DC Councilmember Jack Evans rocked the mic at 19th and L streets last week to celebrate the new construction of four rain gardens in the Golden Triangle. The gardens will include vegetation to attract butterflies and bees and will help keep water within the city's aquifer and out of rivers and streams. (They have enough already. Quit being selfish rivers and streams.) The National Wildlife Federation has already recognized the gardens as an official Certified Wildlife Site. Jack is flanked here by Vornado/Charles E. Smith's Kathryn Clement (also VP of the Golden Triangle BID board) and the NWF's Patrick Fitzgerald.
