Lerner Enterprises has landed a high-profile commercial real estate tenant to lease space in its 1800 Tysons Blvd. office building.

JLL will move its Northern Virginia office to the 12-story, 320K SF tower, taking up 26,500 SF, the brokerage announced Monday. The move means JLL's footprint will expand slightly: Its current Northern Virginia office at 1850 Towers Crescent Plaza in Vienna is under 24K SF.

JLL's new, second-generation office space will include a working fireplace and a technology room that will feature JLL’s suite of proptech options when it opens later this quarter, according to a press release.

The building is located a block from Tysons Corner Metro Station and is connected to the rest of Lerner's Tysons II development, including the Tysons Galleria and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

“We saw a lot of value in the existing ‘bones’ of this office and were able to adapt many of these aspects for our new space while putting our own unique influence into the buildout,” Chris Molivadas, Mid-Atlantic market director at JLL, said in a release. “We see the new Northern Virginia office as a place where our team can gather, collaborate and ultimately drive forward workplace solutions for our clients together.”

The space was designed by Form Architects and will meet LEED and WELL requirements, according to the release.

Lerner has taken steps forward to develop its Tysons office holdings this year. The private real estate developer announced plans last week to build a 21-story, 490K SF office tower at 1725 Tysons Blvd. JLL is representing Lerner at that building, the latter noted in a release.
