CoworkCafe Brings the Office to the Coffee Shop

Now you can legitimately write that long-awaited novel in a coffee shop. Coworking Solutions founders David James and Ramzy Azar created the perfect win/win situation with CoworkCafe, which brings co-working spaces to empty cafes during the workday, reports Washington Business Journal. CoworkCafe quietly launched early this month, and allows members access to a private section of Boccato Gelato and Espresso (above), at 2719 Wilson Blvd in Clarendon, during the slower hours of 9am to 6pm. For a $200/month flat fee (with a $150 introductory offer) members receive a $50 credit toward food and beverages from Boccato, along with soundproof phone booths for business calls and video conferences. And at 6pm the divider between the lounge and the gelato counter comes down, giving all patrons access. If this works out, James and Azar hope to make the same arrangement with other retail establishments that have less activity during the day.
