ROSS Cos Appoints A New CEO

Bethesda-based real estate firm ROSS Cos has recently begun expanding out of the region and just named a new chief executive to steer the ship.

David Miskovich, who has served as COO and CFO for 13 years, will become the company's first CEO. Scott Ross, who founded the company in 1983, will remain president of ROSS Development and chairman of ROSS Renovation and Construction. Co-founder Beth Ross will continue as president of ROSS Management Services.

For its first three decades, ROSS stayed in the DC area, but in 2015 it began expanding by opening an office in Richmond, where it now owns nine apartment properties totaling 1,300 units. It also has recently acquired 1,100 units in North Carolina and 315 in South Carolina. It has continued DC-area acquisitions, buying a 254-unit Laurel property in June.

"David is an extremely talented, effective leader who has helped guide ROSS Companies through one of the most aggressive growth periods in its history over the last several years," Scott said in a release.
